We dropped off our Dacia Lodgy TCE 115 for a routine service. The mechanic told my wife the engine was shot and that we either needed to replace it or get a new car. He showed us a photo of an oil filter covered in oil and metal shavings, telling us the engine was "self-destructing." We went to another mechanic who showed us the timing chain was loose and that we simply needed to replace the timing belt kit. The timing belt kit was replaced, and the car is running perfectly. As an added point, the photo of the oil filter shown by the mechanic was incorrect, as it didn't match the oil filter model for our car. We are obviously very dissatisfied with this garage and are contacting Renault headquarters to get an explanation for these questionable practices.

Real scammers, a little advice: go to a small garage instead of here, they inflate their prices and are neither professional nor accommodating, plus their behavior is despicable.
Taking advantage of the fact that you can't necessarily do otherwise is beyond borderline. I really regret being taken in by a so-called "mechanic"... Once, not twice!

It's impossible to give a zero rating, and yet this rating would be well-deserved. The proper term would be PATHETIC. They don't listen to you, don't answer your questions, and don't return your calls. A haughty and unpleasant phone operator.
Salespeople and mechanics who are clueless and don't know their way around vehicles—avoid them.

Stopping in for another service, the team was as pleasant and helpful as ever.
They truly embody the concept of quality customer service!
I even got my car back cleaned! (That's not always the case with other service providers...)
