I received a very warm welcome at Mr. Dupont's.
I recently had an accident with my vehicle.
The repairs were done very well.
Everything was taken care of; I only paid the deductible.
I preferred to go to Mr. Dupont's garage
and avoid going to an authorized repair shop.
Very good professionals.
I recommend them.

Originally from Surgères, I work in Paris. I regularly return to Surgères to visit my family. My parents are loyal customers of the garage, so I prefer to book my car maintenance there. I schedule the appointment in advance, and a loaner vehicle is provided. I am very satisfied with the service and the diagnosis. The staff is welcoming and very professional.

Passing through Surgères, we broke down in the Aldi parking lot. After contacting our insurance company, the tow truck arrived after only a 10-minute wait 👍. They provided a courtesy car and we were able to pick up our vehicle in the early afternoon. The service was very friendly and, above all, very efficient.
We highly recommend this garage.

Dupont Garage took in my car after I made a silly fueling mistake. I only had one car and no time to get a loaner... oh well!
They repaired it the next day and it only cost me €160 => labor and filter replacement.
A bad experience, but in my misfortune, they took exceptional care of me!!
I recommend them 😁

"Everything was perfect from start to finish for a last-minute repair. I highly recommend them following this unique experience." BUT BUT.......
Here's what I wrote this summer (2025) with a 5/5 rating.
Today, I'm revising my opinion (written here this summer) following my second experience, which resulted in a 2/5 rating.
1/ No problem with the work done on the car; they are true professionals. No doubt about that.
But this time:
2/ The diagnostic services are charged at a premium, amounting to half the labor cost in my case. This is a practice I wasn't familiar with in my home region (where diagnostics were almost always free).
3/ Due to a misunderstanding during the discussion, I was charged for a part that was handed to me personally after the service. It was ordered based on a hypothesis I sincerely formulated regarding the cause of the breakdown, in order to avoid prolonging the vehicle's downtime. The problem wasn't there. I was told the part would be useful again sooner or later anyway. But I was thinking of someone else in that situation, another customer with a different vehicle.
Note: I must admit I sensed a clear lack of clarity regarding the diagnostic and estimation procedure, and a distinct annoyance from the receptionist, even though I was trying to be as clear as possible. If I were a mechanic, I wouldn't go to the garage! This person should learn that a customer might not be comfortable and should rephrase things clearly to avoid unpleasant surprises (like being pressured into buying a part and undergoing a diagnostic procedure).
In conclusion, excellent work but at exorbitant prices. One must be cautious when dealing with the service and not rely on a selfless, business-like approach, which would ultimately be far more beneficial to the establishment.
I will obviously never return to this garage.
