THIEVES!!! SHAMEFUL!!! OIL CHANGE = €185
I needed to get an oil change. So I called this small garage, and they quickly gave me an appointment. I had the oil and fuel filters because my partner usually does the oil changes himself.
I asked him to change the air filter too, if necessary, and I asked him how much it would cost. He replied that it depended on several factors and that he could only tell me once he'd done it... I know I was naive, but let's just say that, like many people, cars and mechanics really aren't my thing, and this dear crook knew it.
When I got back, it had cost me €185!!!! (I have a diesel Golf 4)
He told me that my filters weren't the right ones and that he had been kind enough to quickly buy me some replacements. LIE!!! I later asked a mechanic, and it turned out I did have the correct filters... he changed the fuel filter housing even though it wasn't necessary. I just hope that for that price, he actually did my oil change properly. Given the theft and the lies, I'm a little worried about his professionalism....
