Swift, competent and kind! After several weeks with a broken down car and incompetent half-way repairs, we contacted Pays Basque Auto - they fixed our car in only a couple of days, and we are now able to continue our journey. Highly recommendable! Thank you!

The staff at Pays Basque auto was a great help to us when our camper broke down at a campground near Saint Jean de Luz. They sent a tow truck to fetch us a a very reasonable price then got us on the road again in a very short period of time. This when all the other repair shops we tried would not book us for two more weeks. A special thanks to our guardian angle Matthieu. He could not have been more pleasant or helpful.

The garage does indeed have many good reviews, but I mostly get the impression they come from tourists passing through. For my part, my experience was very disappointing. I had booked an appointment a week in advance to have the two front tires replaced, as well as for a service, specifying from the outset that I wanted to pay in installments. I left my vehicle from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and I find it unacceptable that after a full day, the work wasn't even finished. When I got back on the road, I noticed that the steering wheel was off-center and tilted to the right. When I tried to straighten it, the car turned to the left, which is abnormal and dangerous, especially after a supposedly professional service. Regarding the payment, the link that was supposed to be sent to me at 8 a.m. was finally sent at 5 p.m. In addition, the connection wasn't working, forcing me to pay the full amount, contrary to what had been agreed. The next day, I called the garage to report these problems and the serious inconvenience I experienced. Despite the seriousness of the situation, no quick solution was offered. Even worse, the receptionist, supposedly named Seb, was haughty, unpleasant, and condescending, clearly giving the impression of looking down on customers. A very negative experience that I do not recommend, especially for local customers who expect a minimum level of professionalism, safety, and reliability.

What a joy to find such professionals! When I encountered a mechanical problem on the way to my vacation, they went above and beyond to ensure I could leave as quickly as possible and in the best possible conditions. In addition to being very kind and responsive, they are also very competent. I highly recommend them!
