I have just purchased a Clio occasion May 2023 with 18891k on the information page at purchase. When I had paid for it and was signing the paperwork I see 19663k written. The manager was called and in explanation said the vehicle was used by the saleslady, Mme Berthier, who lived nearby but she had stopped using it as soon as I purchased it. BUT..... 773k of difference when one is searching for a car with the least kilométrage on the clock is a lot, and does not indicate the salesperson lived nearby, and is simply being dishonest.
I telephoned the manager and after much dispute, with him telling me it wasn't important and made no difference, he reluctantly offered me a reimbursement of 100€. I took this as obviously better than nothing but it has left me with a very bad impression. Furthermore I find after driving it for several short journeys only, that the keycard battery needs replacing which is also pretty poor.
All this apart I have to say that Kevin, who had the job of showing me how everything worked, was extremely good and patient. Mme Guillaume who attended to the paperwork was also kind and efficient. But dishonesty is unforgivable.
