😞 Disappointed by Lack of Support During Breakdown
Left Stranded: Garage de Charnècles, #TotalEnergies Service Station Shows No Support
My elder sister’s campervan broke down while traveling through France. #ANWB ⬇️ arranged for it to be towed to Garage de Charnècles, a so-called trusted #TotalEnergies service station. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing.
While we understand they are not a Mercedes garage, even a minimal show of empathy would have made a difference. Instead, she was left entirely on her own. Due to the holiday period, with all shops closed and no accommodation, she now had to wait two full days and nights before the vehicle can be transported to another garage that might actually help.
When you're far from home and vulnerable, a simple gesture, a bit of kindness, some guidance, or even basic information can make a world of difference. Sadly, none was offered here.
This is not the level of support or basic human decency one hopes for in such situations.
Garage de Charnècles, your conduct does not reflect your stated commitment to “superior quality service to meet all vehicle-related needs.” Quite the opposite. Shame on you.

I ended up in a ditch Monday evening while trying to let an oncoming vehicle pass. When I arrived at the garage, I was immediately taken care of and given excellent advice by the staff. It was late and raining. I thought I'd be able to drive off with my car once I'd gotten out of the hole, but I ended up having to leave it at the garage. Once again, I received impeccable service and was able to wait for the taxi that finally took me home to a warm place, despite the late hour.

After getting a flat tire, I called a roadside assistance service and was very satisfied with their response.
Guillaume was professional, quick, and very friendly, despite the difficult weather conditions: wind, a bit of frost, and snow on the road.
Thanks to him, the situation was resolved without any stress.
I highly recommend them!

I was urgently called to my workplace because my car was going to be taken away... in fact a carpenter had put a little note on an A4 sheet, not even stating "do not park" so I didn't see it when I arrived at work at 6:45 a.m.... I arrived my car was being put on the tow truck... The policeman said to the tow truck driver "Come on, I have another car to take to you not even 100m from here so that you didn't make the trip for nothing and so the lady who works won't have to pay anything since the car wasn't taken away".... well nothing worked, not even the police, no kindness and this boss must have been very happy to win the double stake, since a car was brought to him but 2 trips at 127 euros counted!!! Nice to see France working...
Note from the photo: it's clear that the carpenter's message wasn't clear (no drawing or even "no parking" written on it). Besides, was the little sign in place at 6:45 a.m.?
So we can't really talk about someone "badly parked," and, knowing that the car wasn't fully loaded, a little kindness would have been welcome (like the 15 euros offered by the municipal police officers...).
