Absolutely avoid PureTech timing belt replacement at this garage.
As the owner of a Peugeot 2008 equipped with the infamous PureTech engine, I chose to have the timing belt replaced (over €800) at a Peugeot garage, mistakenly believing it to be the safest option.
A year later, the red engine warning light came on. The verdict from a real mechanic: during the belt replacement, the oil strainer wasn't cleaned, an essential step for this engine. The result: €300 in additional repairs, not to mention the potential need to replace the solenoid valve sensors for around €400.
The Peugeot garage's response was simply astounding: "There's nothing we can do for you; we only clean the oil strainer when a warning light is triggered." Yet, my partner had clearly reported the frequent illumination of the oil warning light when she dropped off the vehicle. Their final response: "It's not written in the report; there's nothing we can do." This is therefore a second mistake on their part, since this information should have been recorded in the service report.
It's frankly disheartening to realize that I would have paid less and avoided these problems by going through an independent garage rather than the manufacturer's network.
Based on my experience, and as other customers have already mentioned in the reviews, I strongly advise against using this garage for a timing belt replacement, especially on a PureTech engine.
