I am forced to change my 2021 review. Huge disappointment. I was diagnosed in January 2025 with a broken starter, so it had to be replaced, more than 300 euros per part. As for the water temperature light that was yo-yoing, they tried changing the sensor without promising anything (160 euros). It was the priority fault to be solved, and unfortunately, it didn't work. The mechanic told me that they would have to look for a short circuit and remove the dashboard. The car is 25 years old and for him, they had to stop the expense because troubleshooting is expensive and random. It's good for the scrapyard! I went back to the pushchair. And then, with a heavy heart, I went to see a small mechanic for a last-ditch operation. And there, miraculously, the guy took a little time to look, what 15/20 minutes. It was simply the battery that was broken!!! The starter motor was completely broken!!! And the temperature light that's yo-yoing is due to low battery voltage, which is causing the computer to go haywire. I've driven over 1,000 km since then, flawlessly. The starter motor failing due to a battery fault is unspeakable for a mechanic. My beloved car was going to be scrapped for nothing!!! What a waste.
I felt like I wasn't very welcome anymore, it depended on the two brothers' mood swings, but over the past four years, we'd gotten to know each other. I went back to see them and explained the whole story, hoping for a mea culpa. They were grumpy. One of the brothers blurted out, "Anyway, it'll break down again in a few months..." before snapping, "It's better if you don't come anymore."

Welcoming, friendly, helpful, real mechanics! My Renault is over 20 years old, and major dealerships refuse to repair or maintain it. Here, on the contrary, I was made welcome and was also given advice and tips. The prices are Renault's, so they're high. For minor maintenance, tires, oil changes, etc., those on a tight budget will go elsewhere.
