There are times when words aren't strong enough to be consistent with reality... this mechanic is, at the very least, a fraudster? I'll let you be the judge, but when you charge €40 to fit two tires, you insist on not issuing an invoice, and they make you pay in cash... what do you call that?
I would avoid it in the future because if there's a problem with the mechanic's intervention, who do you turn to? No one...

Despite not speaking French very well, Pierre Dussutour helped me very kindly and quickly. I was able to bring my Renault Scenic IV the very next day, and it was ready an hour later. It was truly wonderful that I received such excellent service during my vacation!

A customer for 10 years, I took my vehicle in to have the spark plugs replaced (oral diagnosis during symptom description) (bill €550, including €150 for troubleshooting!!!!) It turned out that the ignition rail needed replacing. However, the hose had broken.
I was present and witnessed the incident. There was no mention of this hose repair on the invoice since it was accidentally broken (which can happen), so it wasn't billed.
The car was picked up and we broke down 20 km later: smoke coming from the hood and a consequent water leak. The hose was broken again. We picked up the car with the mechanic and took it back to the garage to have the part replaced again.
Diagnosis upon collection: cylinder head gasket or even cylinder head needed replacing...cost €2,500 and unpredictable replacement time. The problem is, our car only has 100,000 km.
We met with Mr. Dussutour for an amicable solution: categorical refusal. Reason given: the cylinder head gasket was worn before the repair; it had been noted, but neither the mechanic nor Mr. Dussutour thought it necessary to point it out to us during the inspections because, according to them, it didn't prevent us from driving, and the repair was expensive, so according to them, we "wouldn't have considered it useful or even necessary" to have it done (!!!!!)...responsibility for letting us drive with the risk of breakdown or even an accident?
Should we really believe this more than dubious argument?
Second reason for refusing to cover, or even partially cover, the repair costs: the hose would have failed due to the poor condition of the cylinder head gasket!!!
Furthermore, we have no recourse to prove that it had indeed been "repaired" (??) since it was not mentioned on the invoice, so there is no proof in the event of legal action.
This information was confirmed to our legal assistant, and Mr. Dussutour retorted that he would deny the facts and, in any case, there was no written evidence. Conclusion: Take your car in excellent condition to have the spark plugs changed, you get it back, and... it will be worth almost nothing! All you have to do is buy another one.
Congratulations to the Dussutour garage.
Honesty is more than questionable.
For us, Happy New Year 2023!

While passing through Excideuil during the holidays, my Kangoo's engine started smoking. So I stopped at this garage, a mechanic came immediately to take a look and fixed the problem in 5 minutes. Thank you to him!
