Okay... Several points to address. I came in because of a problem with the start-stop system on my car. I suspected a certain part called a capacitor, as well as other electronic faults (the diagnosis was confirmed by a Citroën garage in Brittany). I made the mistake of mentioning that I had an idea of what the problem might be, and I was rather curtly dismissed... Fine. Then, after three days of being without my car (originally scheduled for one day) and numerous follow-ups, I got my car back with a hefty quote of €2,300, claiming a serious electronic fault (I won't go into detail about the parts replaced; it would take hours!). I paid the €170 quote and got my car back with a completely damaged steering wheel (I repaired the damage myself...). Refusing to believe such a fault, I investigated on my own with another mechanic who told me that the car battery was simply the wrong one and needed replacing. The result: no more faults and confirmation of the capacitor failure! One question remains: were they two young, inexperienced mechanics easily duped, or simply a lack of competence for recognizing a bad battery? €2300 for a €200 battery? Congratulations, I won't be going back to that salesman's garage.
