We had a minor disaster on the way South from Calais, with our front left tyre a bit shredded on it's wall. We slow-steamed 600km to near Jonzac, where we were staying with friends for New Year and the next day went to Euromaster in Jonzac. The young guy in the office was very pleasant (and not bad English) and agreed to get our front tyres replaced at once even though it was approaching their lunchtime shutdown. When they got the car up high to change the front tyres the mechanic checked whether the rear tyres were also run-flats and found a disaster averted. The right rear tyre had, some time since the last service/MOT in August 2019, had a strip of outer tread crudely torn off on the normally invisible inner edge of the tyre - could have exploded any time, utterly unsafe. See the photo. Luckily they had enough stock to change all four tyres (the left rear had a sidewall tear) and the amazing staff went way into their lunchtime break to change all four tyres. They knocked something off their initial quote as they re-used our valves (we have a tyre pressure warning system) and the eventual bill was lower than my own guesstimate. We were back with our friends in time for lunch and were so impressed with this place. It felt like they were always honest and fair - what more can you want when something goes wrong on holiday?

We ended up here after a disastrous flat tyre on our holiday through the countryside. Fréderic Audureau is an absolute gentleman; very helpful, compassionate and understanding. We cannot thank him enough for the kindness and patience. When our Europcar car was towed to his shop he was extremely helpful.

We waited and waited the computer system was down .so the chap couldn't make any sales .we returned after lunch and got our tyres ordered .and fitted the next day .
