A poorly trained mechanic, therefore committing professional misconduct, tried to sell a battery for a car with a manufacturer's warranty for €225. This is either a scam or the owner failed to properly train his employee. The customer, trusting the mechanic, suffered the consequences by having to buy a battery separately (cheaper at €160), which would not be covered by the warranty. The customer then learned from the Peugeot garage in Lunel (unreachable by phone and email on the day of the breakdown), which had sold the car new, that the battery was indeed under the manufacturer's warranty.
The manager of the La Calmette garage acted in bad faith, refusing to admit his mistakes and trying to absolve himself by claiming that the new employee didn't know the manufacturer's warranty covered battery replacement. I strongly advise against using this garage and its breakdown service due to its bad faith and lack of respect for the customer.

Very professional and competent garage. Not to mention the very friendly and pleasant welcome, whether by phone or on site. I live in Nîmes where there are other Peugeot garages, but I much prefer going to La Calmette for their reliability. I highly recommend them!!
