240 euros just to look at the engine for 2.5 hours, then a phone call from the mechanic asking if I was okay with another 2.5 hours just for the diagnosis... huh?! Who are they kidding at 80 euros an hour excluding tax?
He quoted me a minimum of 1500 euros for the bill and labor... And he took the car out with the engine disassembled and the parts in a box... I paid 280 euros elsewhere...
Anyway! Everyone can think what they want about this yelling, temperamental mechanic, but for me... he gets a zero just for his arrogant and rude attitude for someone who calls himself a professional!

This garage is absolutely to be avoided.... My daughter and I came from Auvergne, and unfortunately, we broke down 40 km from Île d'Oléron on the motorway. Luckily, she had excellent insurance, and we were helped by the Large garage. From there, a taxi picked us up and took us to our destination, Île d'Oléron. The next day, we were given a rental car to get back to Auvergne. After several attempts to call, my daughter finally got through to the mechanic a month later, telling him that her car was totaled, that the repairs would cost at least €8,000, and that it would be better to let him buy it back for €300... My daughter told him that this wasn't an option and that she would arrange to have it towed back to Auvergne, which she did with her father's help. And the surprise: the timing belt was perfectly fine; it was a minor issue that was quickly repaired in Auvergne for a very reasonable price. Ultimately, a lot of stress for nothing... Thieves... And as for me, absolutely unprofessional; avoid them at all costs!

I trust this garage completely. I'm buying my third car there in a few days for my daughter who just got her license. I highly recommend them.
