I discovered the problem originated in the campervan; a metal strap had broken, and the fuel tank was about to fall directly onto the road. I had already given up on finding help by 2:30 PM on Friday, before the Pentecost weekend. Apparently, the problem had also been fixed at the factory. So, we know the vehicle's equipment and the faulty parts were replaced by the driver. When I received the bill, it was €15! (For 45 minutes of work!) I was so surprised that I added a generous tip! Now that's what I call customer service; otherwise, I might have had to cut my vacation short! Last night, it was only a matter of time—a year's worth of work in 5 days!

Our Passat battery died while we were on vacation. We stopped briefly, and the battery was replaced immediately, and the labor only cost 7 euros. The mechanic was very nice, and communication worked well despite his broken French and English :) The workshop saved our vacation!
