Following a very pleasant initial contact with Mr. Peretti, I purchased the E-C3 from the dealership. I bought it for my elderly father, who wanted to ensure certain comfort features. Preconditioning the vehicle was important to him because, let's face it, it's a real comfort not having to scrape frost off the ice on chilly mornings or getting into a car that isn't 40°C in the middle of summer. At his age, you get cold easily and dehydrate even more quickly. Mr. Peretti assured me that this feature was indeed available on the MAX version. Perfect. I was reassured, I reassured my elderly father, and we decided to order from the dealership rather than through a car broker. Upon delivery, and thanks to Gemy's excellent advice, we waited 30 days for the connected services to activate. We calmly watched the app display "Activation in progress." After this period, our app still displayed the same message, and we decided to contact Citroën support, who told us that the service was no longer available for our vehicle. I wrote a polite email to the sales representative and waited another 30 days. No luck. The response was probably still being processed. I wrote a formal registered letter, and lo and behold, I received a call from the sales director. He politely confirmed that my father and I were out of luck and that, yes, the sales representative had made a mistake. As you can imagine, Dad won't be getting the feature he so desperately wanted, and Citroën has no way of correcting this regrettable error since, as they say, the option has been removed by Citroën. I confess I'm a little tempted to try my luck in the workshop. As for the sales side of things, I'm completely fed up. I just let out a little Gemy-ism. And to top it all off, Dad thinks I'm an idiot. I can't wait for Christmas. 😉
