Simply SCAMMERS.
I took my vehicle there for a loss of power, with no engine warning light, etc.
It's a 2020 model with 65,000 km.
Since they're close to my work, it was easier for me to take it there, but I should have checked the reviews beforehand and talked to people I know. This garage has a terrible reputation; everyone uses the same adjective: Thieves/Scammers.
Anyway, they tell me my turbo is shot and give me a quote of €5,000 for the repairs.
I'm young, so maybe they thought, "A young guy with problems on his new truck is easy prey." Unfortunately for them, I know a little about mechanics, enough to know that a turbo failure at 60,000 km is a serious problem. I absolutely don't believe it's a cause or a consequence.
At the counter, nothing surprises them. "No, it depends on the driving style and usage." I explain that it's impossible for that; there would have been signs, and I'm 20 years old, I paid for it myself, so I'm very careful with it.
My parents' Berlingo has almost 300,000 km on it, and they've never done anything to it because everything is running perfectly.
I decide to take it back.
The bill is €215 for "air boost control check."
It's running even worse than when I dropped it off, and the "check emissions" light is on. I can't go faster than 30 km/h. I chalk it up to bad luck, so I have it towed home.
I checked my turbo; it's SURPRISINGLY perfect, no play, the impeller spins freely.
Final verdict: a soot sensor on my exhaust system is malfunctioning. A much cheaper repair than a turbo.
If I knew nothing about cars, how far would it have gone? "Oh, so it's not just the turbo that's faulty, we also have to replace the DPF."
I don't know, but be careful, this isn't a trustworthy garage, confirmed by people I know who have had similar experiences.

Following a dead battery, I arrived at the garage 20 minutes before closing time. The garage was very responsive and fast and the battery was changed after carrying out tests in complete transparency. In addition, the people at the workshop and the office were very welcoming.
