Amazing help and advice
Being British in France in a 7.6m motorhome and the Engine Management light comes on and Check Engine is displayed,my first thoughts were how do I get this checked out??
Called into Feu Vert in Mendes which was very helpful and local to the site we were on.
The communication was via a translation app and the Engineer (the handsome man with a beard) put a diagnostic test on it and explained the error. Build up of pressure in the catalytic which fortunately had cleared itself.
Peace of mind to carry on with our travels through France.
The help, friendliness and respectful service I received was over and above anything I could have expected.
Upon offering to pay, good looking guy shrugged and smiled “No Charge”

AVOID THIS GARAGE!!!
I went to Feu Vert in an emergency because all the local garages were closed for the holidays. In the end, I should have waited…
During the first appointment, they called me back two hours later to tell me they had ordered the wrong part. These things happen, but this led to a new quote: from €309, it jumped to €488, before finally telling me it would cost €306. Having no choice and needing my car, I accepted.
A week later, a new appointment was scheduled. On the day, after dropping off my car, they called me back to inform me they had broken a hose. They explained that it was a workshop breakdown, so there would be no additional charge for me. However, this meant I would have to pick up my vehicle three days later, instead of the scheduled morning.
On the day I picked up my car, I asked for a goodwill gesture, as I had been without a vehicle and live in Langogne, 45 minutes from Mende, which had been very difficult to manage. The gentleman, who had been polite until then, started laughing and told me that the goodwill gesture had already been made since he was "giving" me the hose. I reminded him that I had never broken that part and that on the phone, he had clearly stated that this repair was their responsibility.
I wondered: did he take advantage of the fact that I'm a young woman, or was it simply a lack of professionalism?
Given the numerous other negative reviews, I strongly advise against using this garage, especially since I still have a leak and am continuing to lose coolant…
