Very helpful and friendly . Alexandre was great and explained everything about the Ami. It’s easy to drive, and not much suspension . Great for kids though .
The range is about 75 km , depending on heater, windscreen wipers etc etc.
Top speed is 45 km/h which won’t be great on a dual carriageway, but perfect for driving around Pau, or similar city .
Currently, it’s only equipped with a standard household plug for charging , which for a city car seems daft . So it can’t be plugged into a commercial charging station without an adaptor, which costs 400 euros. This is great if you are only going to charge from a domestic socket. I believe it’s a mistake . However accessories are available on-line .
There is no rear view mirror , however Alexandre explained that there are after-market sites that sell Ami accessories , and a decent mirror can be sourced there ..
There is no boot or bonnet . There is space for a rucksack in the passenger footwell and space for two supermarket bags behind the seats .
No stereo or radio, bring your phone , and Bluetooth speaker and there into one USB port and you will be all set .
The garage has plenty of parking and several Citroen models on display . If you ask nicely you can see a very old Peugeot car in the workshop .
Alexandre was explaining that originally the garage was associated with Peugeot, and so they had an old car from that era . As the concession got handed down after the owner retired , the new owner had a disagreement with Peugeot and changed the garage to Citroen .

I wanted to book an appointment for a timing belt replacement on my C3 (PureTech engine, which has well-known problems) as part of the recommended service interval of every 6 years or 100,000 km. I was quoted between 700 and 800 euros. When I checked with another Citroën dealership, they explained that the belt would be changed free of charge (provided my regular servicing has been done on time) because Citroën covers the cost of timing belts for 10 years. That's not very honest...
