I took my vehicle in for rear tire fitting and alignment. Not even a month later, my right front tire is wearing out faster than the left one. I also find that my car's behavior on the road is not the same. After 24 days, I decide to go back to the garage to see what the problem might be. And there, I am told that he is asking questions about the wear of the tire before the alignment (I think that if he is professional, he would not have done an alignment with a tire worn like it is.) Then, he tells me that it is due to under-inflation (while my tire is inflated and I check it regularly because I do a lot of driving) Then I am told that it is normal that my tire wears faster than the others because in bends and roundabouts, the weight of the car is shifted onto it (the wear of the tire is very advanced compared to the left so I do not believe in this hypothesis and I think that I am being made fun of) on vehicles like mine (406) an alignment must be done at the front and at the rear respecting a geometry but there again, the mechanic tells me that I should have told him that I also wanted it at the rear (it is true that I don't think to ask a tire fitter to give them the steps to follow because, for me, it's self-evident.
And to top it all off, they offered to redo the alignment even though my right tire was out.
We had already brought a vehicle in for something other than a tire fit and alignment, and we were very happy with the welcome, the price, and the work done. But this time, I find the mechanic very dishonest.
The photo shows the difference in wear between my two front tires in the space of less than a month.
