After three checkpoints that didn't pass the MOT (windshield washer not working, loose bumpers, and the pollution test couldn't be done due to a lack of engine oil), I called this garage to correct the first two problems I explained over the phone. Regarding the windshield washer, at the MOT I was warned that it's often a fuse, not the pump (costing in the hundreds of euros) as some mechanics claim. On the phone, this mechanic immediately told me that it's often a pump problem, to which I replied that it's more likely a fuse, but he insisted it's the pump. I made an appointment for the following week anyway. I went to another garage first, who changed the windshield washer fuse, and it worked (for free). As he passed by, he looked at the bodywork problem (which they couldn't repair at home) and told me they were in perfect condition; they just needed to be reattached using a screw for the front and welding the plastic at the rear. When I told him I had an appointment the next day to repair it at the Citroën St Eloi garage, he told me to be careful and not agree to replace all the bumpers, as it would cost several hundred euros. Upon arriving at the Citroën garage, the mechanic looked at the inspection with the items to be serviced. Regarding the windshield washer, I indicated that it was fixed; it was only a fuse and not a pump, contrary to what they had told me over the phone. We looked at the bumpers together, and he immediately told me to replace all the bumpers. I told him I didn't agree. He insisted, telling me that the bumpers really needed to be replaced, that they couldn't be repaired, but that he'd take a closer look in the morning. I left the car with him, but insisted that he wouldn't change anything without me signing a quote. I added that if he didn't think it was repairable, I'd have it repaired elsewhere. I came back to pick up my vehicle at lunchtime, and in the end, both bumpers were repaired... They checked that the vehicle passed the pollution test even though I hadn't asked them to do this test. They therefore consumed fuel unnecessarily, even though it wasn't their job to check this point, which should only be checked at an MOT center. They had to add 1L of engine oil to perform this test without me asking, at the cost of a garage. They did everything they could to inflate my bill with repairs that were supposed to cost next to nothing, just a weld, a screw, and unnecessary things I didn't ask for. I'm particularly disappointed with the way they tried to make me believe there were major, unrepairable problems by initially wanting to replace a pump and two bumpers, which would have left me with a bill of over €700, not to mention four figures... In the end, I got away with less than €50 because I don't let myself be pushed around, but it's not an honest mechanic who insists that something can't be repaired when it was actually fixed in a very short time.

While passing through Rodez, we had a sudden breakdown of the DPF. The garage saw us at short notice and diagnosed the problem. Unable to repair it immediately due to a lack of the part, they reassured us, ensuring we could continue our vacation and return home before repairing it.
