What a great service! During our roadtrip our car made an awful sound and it was no longer safe to drive with it. Garage Soler helped us right away and we quickly were able to safely continue our travel to the Netherlands. Such a friendly staff as well. Thank you so much! MERCI BEAUCOUP : )

A truly excellent welcome. A very warm welcome at the Renault garage in Saint-Julien. The team is genuinely kind, attentive, and very patient. (The receptionist is absolutely lovely). They take the time to explain things without ever being condescending or making you feel incompetent. Honestly, an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.

At the beginning of December 2025, I made an appointment with the Renault garage in Saint-Julien for the annual service and vehicle inspection. The first date they offered was January 12th: the garage had staff out sick, a lot of cars had broken down, etc. Finding the wait a bit too long, I considered taking my car to another garage, especially since it needed to pass the inspection before the end of the year. The receptionist then suggested a solution that seemed promising from an organizational standpoint: the car could be taken in for the inspection on December 13th, which would allow me to get detailed information about the necessary repairs and order the parts in advance. Then, an appointment could be scheduled in January for the service and repairs. I accepted this solution. On December 13th, after the inspection, the garage gave me a quote for €1481.97. On January 21st, when I brought my car in, the garage informed me that the service wasn't included in the estimate (even though I had specifically requested it) and added €1124 to the initial quote. The total came to €2615.97. Furthermore, the garage also told me I wouldn't be able to pick up my car until the evening of the 22nd, as there was a lot of work to be done. I replied that I needed it by noon on the 22nd and went home. But, perhaps acting on intuition, I called the garage late in the morning of the 21st and insisted that I needed my car back by the following morning at the latest. They told me I had to reschedule because it wouldn't be ready. I felt my frustration rising, as I couldn't plan my week around the garage due to work commitments. I asked for an explanation. First, they try to justify it: "Wait, let me understand," "When did you make the appointment?", "The person who made your appointment isn't here anymore," "You had an appointment for the service and the first MOT test." I reply that no, setting the record straight while they're trying to muddy the waters, and finally the truth comes out: the garage hadn't anticipated the parts order at all; they waited until the 21st to place it, and the parts won't arrive until the 22nd, which is why two days are needed instead of one. (As a reminder, when I dropped it off, I was told it would take two days because there would be a lot of work to do). I should add that this isn't the first time this garage has pulled this two-day stunt on me. In short, I got angry, especially since the person I was speaking to never once acknowledged that this lack of preparation was unprofessional. And they never offered a realistic solution; they simply told me that my car was available and that I could pick it up just as I had brought it in that morning. Question: Is it because I'm a woman that they treat me like I'm a fool, or is this a general attitude? In any case, I have a very, very negative opinion of the Renault garage in Saint-Julien where I've been taking my car for many years. The owner has changed, the staff has changed, and so has the quality. But faced with such blatant bad faith, how can I possibly trust them? ****************************** A little more on my unfortunate experience… In the end, my car stayed at the garage for three days! I only got it back on January 23rd. As compensation, they offered me free tires. But these were supposed to be included in the initial quote, so another blunder. And to top it all off, I was asked to arrive at the garage at 4:45 PM, but nothing was finalized when I got there, and I had to wait around for half an hour, only to be told that the invoice hadn't been generated, that it would be emailed to me because the software had crashed, and that I would be called in a day or two to pay it. At least I was able to leave with my car! Phew!
