Until now, there had been no problems, but just recently, when my mother went in for a routine vehicle inspection, she received a €600 bill!
Without warning her beforehand,
the mechanic replaced the brake pads, discs, and windshield wipers.
While the brake pads did need replacing given the car's mileage, the discs and wipers didn't!
In any case, a mechanic is required to call their customer to inform them and ask for their consent before any repairs are carried out. They should only replace something with the customer's authorization, which was not the case here.
I should mention that one of my aunts had the same unpleasant surprise some time ago at the same garage.
Sir, from now on, call your customers before doing any work!
And don't take advantage of some customers' age.

Very badly received by this mechanic even though I have an appointment at 3:30 p.m. He prefers to talk with customers and asks me to move my vehicle even though it is not obstructing traffic at all, even though he should already be disappointed to be doing repairs. In short, I prefer to move on than to have to deal with this type of person who will charge me extra for the time he spends talking. Run away!
