I went to Feu Vert for a suspension diagnostic, which cost €19.99, after hearing a squeaking noise.
The immediate conclusion: faulty shock absorbers, with a quote of €450 for a complete replacement, provided on the spot.
This was a rushed and clearly incorrect diagnosis. Out of doubt, I consulted a small independent garage: the problem had absolutely nothing to do with the shock absorbers. It was simply a lack of grease on some rubber parts, a common occurrence in cold weather.
👉 The repair cost just a few euros and the problem was immediately resolved.
I don't understand how Feu Vert can offer such a high quote for such a minor issue, when it could have been fixed for less than the cost of the diagnostic itself.
This strongly suggests an attempt to push unnecessary repairs.
👉 I absolutely do not recommend this chain.
👉 Favor small, honest, competent and attentive garage owners: you will gain confidence and save money.
