A big thank you to the garage for their helpfulness. I had an underinflated tire (even though it was new) and they kindly reinflated it for me. I'll be back to have my rear tires checked. I highly recommend them.

Well... my usual mechanic of three years in Tullins couldn't do the wheel alignment because his machine was broken, so I was advised to go to Baboulin. The mechanic there told me he couldn't do the alignment, the front suspension was, and I quote, "dead." I told him my usual mechanic had never mentioned anything and that I had two clean vehicle inspections done in two different towns. He explained that vehicle inspections aren't reliable, etc. Okay... plus, he told me my rear tires are different from the front ones and that it's a problem, except that it's not mandatory, it's only recommended for a 4x4, and besides, my car isn't a permanent 4x4, but a 2-wheel drive by default. In short, apparently I have no choice, I'd have to replace the control arms and ball joints, which would cost me around €2000.
I sought a second opinion from another garage, and even worse, they told me it wasn't the ball joints or control arms, but the steering rack. They sent me a quote for over €2,000.
So I requested a third opinion, and I simply asked for a front-end alignment check. This last garage told me there was nothing serious, normal wear and tear for a vehicle with 200,000 km, and that I could get my wheel alignment done without worry.
What more can I say? Baboulin's diagnosis was exaggerated. The front-end is worn, but there's no immediate danger, and I can easily get my wheel alignment done and deal with this much later.

Excellent garage! The owner and his wife are attentive and, above all, very welcoming, and it's not for lack of trying on their part! One day I showed up at this garage with my brand new car, which had an electronic problem—a real headache for everyone involved. The fault was located, a part was replaced, and this week I picked up my car in perfect working order. I highly recommend this garage. A big thank you!
