Following an automatic transmission problem, I had a repair done that lasted exactly one month. Of course, I broke down again at 370 km. The garage that looked at my vehicle told me it was the same problem and, on top of that, they should have replaced the wiring harness, which is what causes the sensor to burn out. And of course, when I went there, it wasn't their fault, even though I asked for a refund, they ignored me. 1100 euros for one month? Completely unprofessional.

Total disaster! A scam factory for PureTech engines. AVOID ABSOLUTELY! As a resident of Le Vernet, I trusted this Peugeot SASU MALLET garage to service my Peugeot 5008 1.2 PureTech, purchased used in November 2020 with 55,891 km on the odometer. What a colossal mistake! This garage plunged me into a financial and mechanical nightmare, and I strongly advise against it to anyone. Here are the facts, so everyone knows what to expect: On October 15, 2024, I brought my car in for a complete timing belt replacement, oil system cleaning, and oil filter change. The bill was steep, but I paid without hesitation, believing that Peugeot professionals would be able to resolve the known problem with these PureTech engines (premature belt deterioration due to oil dilution, a hidden defect that Stellantis has been hiding for years). My vehicle had only moderate mileage at the time, and I use my car primarily for my job as a childminder, transporting children to educational activities, and for my family life as a single mother of three. Less than a year later, in August 2025, while on vacation with my children, the car broke down completely: "Engine problem" message! Stranded far from home, with three little ones to care for, I had to improvise an emergency repair at the nearest Renault garage (no Peugeot available before my return). Diagnosis: the timing belt had failed again, with the pulleys, camshafts, oil strainer, and filter needing to be changed. Additional cost: €1,377.28! Today, with only 93,000 km on the odometer, my car is a financial drain. When I contacted the Mallet garage to let them know that their "repair" didn't last a year and to request a refund or coverage, they refused flatly! According to them, it's not their fault, and they're washing their hands of the problem. Worse, Peugeot (via Stellantis) is also refusing any help because the second repair wasn't done by them, as if I had a choice in the middle of an emergency with my children! This garage knew full well that the 1.2 PureTech engines are defective (massive recalls since 2020, warranty extension up to 10 years/175,000 km in March 2024), but they preferred to pocket my money without fixing the root cause of the problem. Result: more than €2,800 in unforeseen expenses, a car I have to sell at a loss, and total distress for a single mother struggling to make ends meet. This garage is incompetent, irresponsible, and takes advantage of customers who don't know anything about mechanics, like me, a single woman who was taken for a fool. They have no sense of customer service, refuse to admit their mistakes, and contribute to worsening Peugeot's hidden defects. If you have a PureTech engine, avoid this garage and choose an honest independent one! Shame on you, Garage Mallet, you have ruined my trust in Peugeot and put my family in danger!

Five months without a car, and without a loaner, still in the shop. Five months is a long time. Two parts replaced and still the same problem. It's an automatic. During the first two repairs, the whole team was fantastic, efficient, and quick. Now, five months later, rarely anyone answers the phone. Today I'm up to eight calls that have gone unanswered. It's hopeless.
