Typical sales style, tempt you with an attractive price, the send you a quote far higher. Not for me

I had to go to this garage for a car problem; it wouldn't start. Their initial diagnosis was either the starter or the battery. After a "thorough" examination, they finally suggested I replace both the starter and the battery. I agreed to replace the starter but not the battery (which they quoted me €240 for, and which I knew I could find elsewhere for €150). Before I came to pick up my car, they told me it was now working properly and that, as a precaution, my battery had been recharged. When I picked up my car, not only did it misfire, but I also noticed a problem with the "stop-start" system, which needed checking. When I asked the technician about it before leaving, he told me that driving for an hour would recharge the battery (I thought it was already charged?), and that the problem would disappear. After driving 100km, the problem persisted. I called them back, and they told me, without batting an eye, that I should have changed the battery... So I went to a Leclerc center to change my battery (for €150), and I was horrified to find that the "stop and start" problem was still there. I explained my conversation with the AD garage, and they were perplexed. Upon closer examination of my vehicle, the Leclerc technicians determined that it was simply the clutch pedal switch that was causing the issue, and they offered to refund me for the battery. In the end, I feel that the expertise of the AD garage in Egletons is lacking, as they rush to offer you equipment that isn't necessarily essential, their diagnosis isn't reliable, and they let you leave with a vehicle that isn't fully functional, leading you to believe that the problem will resolve itself.

Mixed review – caution advised
My 80-year-old grandmother came in for a simple oil change. She was then strongly advised to replace the brakes and a driveshaft, for nearly €1,000, with the claim that the vehicle wouldn't pass its roadworthiness test.
In the end, she didn't do anything and had the test done at an independent center: no faults were found with the brakes or the driveshaft. Only the need to replace the windshield wipers was noted.
I'm sharing this experience to encourage caution, especially for older people. If in doubt, a second opinion or a roadworthiness test can provide clarity.

A garage where the management and employees are kind and honest.
My campervan broke down during my vacation, and I was able to get it repaired thanks to the kindness of the management and the professionalism of the staff.
A great place to keep in mind for locals, but also for those just passing through.
Thanks again to this wonderful team 🙏

After a screw got stuck in our tire one afternoon during our vacation, I contacted this mechanic through my insurance company.
He was incredibly responsive and very accommodating! (It was August 15th). He managed to find us a pair of tires at the last minute.
Our car was out of commission for less than 24 hours.
A huge thank you!
We can now resume our vacation with peace of mind!
