Living in the south of France and being from the region, we came for a 6-day holiday. Unfortunately, on our way there, the odometer on our Bigster, which we leased until May 2025, stopped displaying anything.
We arrived in Montdidier on Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2025, and went to your garage on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM, as we are long-time customers.
We explained the problem, and the gentleman who greeted us explained that they were behind on at least three vehicles and that the only solution offered was to leave the vehicle with them for the week, without being certain they could perform the diagnostic check. Depending on the result, he wasn't sure he could return the repaired car to us for our departure the following Saturday morning.
We insisted, simply asking them to run a diagnostic check, but the response was the same: no time. So we spent our vacation driving without a working odometer or fuel gauge, which is to say we weren't exactly thrilled about making the 800km return trip.
Today we went to our local dealership, who told us it was a known fuse issue with the Bigster, that the problem was common, and that all we had to do was remove and replace the fuse and reset it.
The operation took 45 minutes.
Honestly, I'm astonished that a 5-month-old vehicle under a lease agreement with maintenance wasn't covered for a 45-minute repair in your workshop. They're asking me for six days to find an appointment.
Luckily, in the South, when vacationers have a similar problem with their vehicles, mechanics manage to find a solution so as not to ruin their holidays. Your Renault workshop doesn't compare to ours at all, yet the reputation of people from the North for their work is well established, and yet you are the exception... I think empathy is not one of your convictions.
