I contacted a garage because my vehicle broke down in the village. I explained the situation and the problem and asked for a quote to compare with those of nearby garages. He replied that he had better things to do, that I should just go to other, cheaper garages, and that if I came to him it would necessarily be more expensive because of his quality work. He added that if I wanted cheap, lower-quality parts, I should just go to the competition, and then abruptly ended the conversation with, "Goodbye, Madam, I'm going to take care of my real customers." Just as he was about to hang up on me, I told him it was unacceptable to speak to me the way he did, that I wasn't insulting anyone by asking for a quote, and that his behavior was disrespectful. I told him it was normal to ask for a quote before choosing a garage, and that I didn't necessarily want to go for the cheapest option but rather assess the value for money. But no, according to him, I should just go in blindly, entrust him with my vehicle, and see the bill at the end! A very disrespectful and unpleasant man! Perhaps he's competent, but that's not everything, nor does it justify everything! I advise you to go to "Mécanique à l'ancienne - Anciennes Autos Dépôt." Much more pleasant, available, and competent.
